Why Dance?
Dancing brings people together. It lifts your spirits. It keeps you healthy. It has many benefits.

For couples, a dance lesson is a much-needed time out from the stress of everyday life; it provides time to focus only on each other. Learning to dance is an opportunity to improve communication with your partner and express yourself physically and creatively while working together toward a common goal.

Men and women who know how to dance are always in demand at parties, galas, and benefits. The return to partner dancing can be seen on dance floors at nightclubs and ballrooms worldwide. People are getting to know each other, moving together step by step.

Learning to dance puts romance and fun into your life. It’s more than roses and chocolates… You meet interesting, friendly people at the studio or the clubs who you then go out with, go places with, do things with, and enjoy what dancing brings. Dancing has become a part of your social life.

More and more people are ballroom dancing. Ballroom dancing is not what it used to be. People worldwide have fallen in love with dancing because it is a great recreational activity that’s fun, romantic, very social, and even good for your health!

Today, young singles and couples dance for fun, socially, and competently. Ballroom dance clubs or teams are now trendy in colleges. Intercollegiate ballroom dance (dancesport) competitions are run all over the country. Harvard, Tufts, MIT, Northeastern, and Michigan State have outstanding dance teams.

Mid-life adults look for an aerobic, creative, and competitive, injury-free activity. Thirty-somethings enjoy a night out from the demands of work and family. Baby boomers, a generation who never caught “Swing Fever” and swore on stacks of Grateful Dead records that they’d never learn to ballroom dance, now find themselves part of an evident return to partner dancing.

People of all ages are having a great time discovering Foxtrot, Tango, or Salsa at holiday parties and galas. Many young executives attend formal galas, fundraisers, and black-tie dinners. They are as well prepared to impress and succeed on the dance floor as they are in the boardroom. They look confident. They look like they know what they’re doing and feel comfortable on the dance floor.
